Bombardier Learjet
Bombardier operates a 1.24 million square-foot production facility in Wichita, Kansas, where over 2,000 aviation personnel, dedicated to the highest standards of excellence, assemble Bombardier’s fleet of Learjet aircraft. Bombardier’s factory embraces the philosophy of Lean Manufacturing, which brings to light what is most valuable to the production process while eliminating any extraneous or wasteful practices. In total, Bombardier operates 37 facilities in the United States, four of which are dedicated to manufacturing its transportation and aerospace lines. Bombardier also operates a facility in Querétaro, Mexico dedicated to manufacturing Learjet 85 aircraft components and manufactures wing components in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Bombardier also operates facilities in Toronto, and Montreal, Canada. Aurora helps Bombardier schedule their airplane assembly operations more quickly, so they can handle production rate changes and component delivery delays more effectively.
